Description
IWA FIX is a fixing agent to improve the wet fastness of reactive and direct dyeing and printing of cellulosic fibers. Iwa Fix is also applicable to after-mercerized dyeing.
COMPOSITION:
The aqueous solution of cationic polymers (POLYDIALLYLAMINE TYPE).
PROPERTIES:
1. Light yellow clear solution
2. Specific gravity = 1.04 (25°C)
3. pH (10 g/l) = 4
4. Easily can be diluted with cold water in every ratio.
CHARACTERISTICS:
1. Improves the fastness to water, washing, acid-hydrolysis and chlorinated water.
2. Only slight influence on the hue of dyeing.
3. No or only slight influence on the light fastness.
4. No or only slight influence on the handling touch.
5. High resistance to acids, alkaline and hard water.
6. Contains no formaldehyde.
7. Compatible with many softening and finishing agents provided that they are not anionic.
APPLICATIONS:
The dyed, well rinsed material is treated as follows;
Exhaustion method:
Iwa Fix: | 2 ~ 6 % o.w.f |
Ligqor ratio: | 15: 1 ~ 20: 1 |
Temperature: | 40 ~ 60 °C |
Duration: | 15 ~ 20 min |
Continuous method:
-> Pad the dyeing with 5 ~ 30 g/l
-> Solution of Iwa Fix at
-> 20 ~ 40º C then squeeze and dry.
CAUTIONS IN USING:
1. Insufficient rinsing before fixing treatment can impair fastness properties.
2. Avoid the mixing with anionic substances. (Precipitation may occur.)
3. The stripping of Iwa Fix is highly difficult.

NOTE
There are three types of Reactive & Direct Dye Fixing Agents:
Dicyandiamide Type (Conventional Product)
Poly Amine Type (Conventional Product)
Poly Cationic Type Iwa Fix (New product – Very Much Resistant to Chlorine Water).
